Business Tools Group: Overview

Mission Statement

The Business Tools Group (BTG) is dedicated to improving our members´ understanding and application of critical business tools through education, discussion, and networking.

How Does The BTG Carry Out Its Mission—What Is Our Vision?

In simplest terms, our vision calls for programs which
 

• Are monthly, with 20+ attendees composed of Chamber members and guests.
• Are educational and useful for small to medium businesses.
• Provide opportunity for networking on a smaller than Chamber wide scale.
• Benefit both attendees and the BTG members who put them on.
• Promote greater BWCC member satisfaction.
• Stay ahead of the curve on business issues.
• Provide effective speakers, relevant topics and the latest technology.

Where Do We Meet and When?

We have monthly group meetings. 
 

• Where: BWCC offices 312 Marshall Avenue, Suite 104, Laurel, Maryland 20707-4824.
• When: 9:00–10:30 A.M. on the first Friday of the month or as noted on our Meetings page.
•  Who: Contact BTG Chair John Kinney of Kinney Writers Group or Co-chair Phil Marcus of the Negotiation Pro.

 

Who Are We Looking For?

The BTG is looking for people.
 

• Group Members – The BTG seeks Chamber members to enhance our group.  Attend our next meeting if you have an interest in our mission or email our group chair to volunteer.
• Speakers – We look for members of the BWCC who can educate our members and guests about important business tools.  Fill out and submit a speaker form if you want to be such an educator.
• Business Professionals – The BTG wants to meet business professionals who wish to enhance their own business connections and to be educated in a way that helps their businesses.  Come to our next event.
