![]() Business Expo Planning: Event InformationThe Show Place Arena continues to use the BWCC Business and Technology Expo as one of our premier business development tools each year. The Expo attendees come from a broad geographic region and those thousands of "touches" to potential clients is invaluable!
I really enjoyed participating as a vendor at the BWCC Business Expo. There was excellent attendance and we gained a number of sales opportunities from this. We look forward to participating in the next Expo!
The Expo was a wonderful event from the angle of meeting people. The 2009 Business & Technology Expo was one of the best events for meeting quality contacts.

I was extremely impressed with the Expo. I thought the turnout was wonderful, and the setup was great. I talked with a number of exhibitors who were very pleased with the number of people who stopped at their booths. They seemed very happy with the event. Kudos one more time to the BWCC staff for helping to make this workso well. The Power Networking Breakfast before the Expo was great. Nearly 200 attendees! I had a great time. Best of all, I made some good contacts and I have follow up appointments scheduled for next week.
Within the first hour of the Expo, I had two serious leads and a wonderful story. One lead was from a graduate of Strayer who is currently pursuing her Master’s Degree elsewhere. She is unhappy at her current graduate school, spoke positively about her Strayer experience, and inquired about transferring back to Strayer University for her Master’s Degree. The other lead was from someone whose co-worker recommended looking into Strayer University. The co-worker is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with a concentration in Homeland Security and Information Systems. The wonderful story is that an older gentleman stopped by the table to tell me that his mother attended Strayer College in Washington “many, many years ago,” while pursuing a secretarial degree. Upon graduation she worked as an executive secretary for the federal government. I appreciate the opportunity to exhibit in the BWCC EXPO and look forward to future outreach opportunities.
~ Herb Curkin, Admissions Manager, Strayer University, Anne Arundel Campus, 410-923-4574 The Expo was a very well-planned and attended event. It provided the perfect opportunity for us to network, and we were able to develop some great business contacts. Everyone associated with the event was extremely helpful. Please pass along our thanks to the planning team.

This being our first year participating with the Baltimore Washington Corridor Chamber (BWCC) in the Business and Technology Expo, it has become absolutely clear that the BWCC knows how to deliver an excellent event. Speaking from both standpoints of exhibitor and title corporate sponsor, we were pleased on every level, from venue to accessibility and convenience through to turnout and results. We look forward to participating again next year. Thank you!

The Expo was a very well organized and productive event. I signed up several new subscription customers at the event and got many more great leads to follow up with after the event.
