Do you want to be part of a fast-paced, dynamic, results-driven, young company located in the Baltimore-Washington region?
We are looking for a marketing/communications professional and team player with the expertise to devise and execute marketing, public relations and communications programs for our company.
Position Summary:
As a member of our team, Director of Marketing and Communications plays a vital role in primary customer acquisition and the growth of our business. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer and working with essential suppliers, the Director will develop and implement comprehensive public relations, marketing and communications strategies that will build our brand, engage local and regional media and other key stakeholders. The successful candidate will be an experienced mid-career professional who will work to build awareness of our company in real estate development and construction and remodeling.
Core Responsibilities:
? Lead the effort to build the company brand and collaborate in devising strategies for customer acquisition
? Develop, manage and execute comprehensive communication plans which includes media and public relations, marketing and communication strategies at a regional and state level
? Build an effective internet marketing strategy
? Build and promote effective relationships with key media including but not limited to print, radio, television and web
? Design and develop all collateral materials for print and the web
? Be the primary point of contact for all media relations inquiries
Required Skills:
? Self-Starter who is also an effective collaborator
? Excellent writing and editing skills for print and the web
? Experienced in web site development and search engine marketing
? Experienced planning meetings, trade shows and seminars
? Experienced developing plans for communications, media relations and public relations programs
? Very flexible and able to switch gears as needed
? Ability to manage a variety of projects simultaneously
? Advanced PowerPoint skills
? Able to develop program metrics
? Experienced managing suppliers and vendors
Qualifications:
? 5-7 years experience in an entrepreneurial business environment
? Graduate of Public Relations, Marketing or Communications programs at College or University level
? Member of IABC or PRSA (a plus)
